Don't worry if you don't get the title, joke from Maylyn's HBD party. Lot's of fun. Basically DDR, SingStar, Guitar Hero and fishing for tadpoles in her part garbage part lawn part murky, part newspaper pool. Obviously you wouldn't swim in as how we got tadpoles from it. The food was reminiscent of an Asian household version of MacDonald's or Jollibee (for all the Filos out there). All of my HY results have come out now, except IST. Haracic is taking his sweet time marking those exams. Apparently, they had to mark the year 7 and 9 HY DT exams first. COME ON. We got the same excuse years ago, just the other way around, 'we had to mark the year 10 exams first'. Geez louise, I SWEAR! GOD. Well anyway, my average overall without IST is 77. Okay, I guess. Math pulled me down pretty badly and so did Ag. If I took those two out of the equation, my average would probably float around the mid 80s (thank God for Japanese XD).
Just as a paragraph of self-reflection, you can skip this one. Math? FAIL basically. Study and parctice is what I need. English? Writing skills. I need someone to help me write better. Same for Geography and History. Maybe someone to help me figure out how to manage time and writing in exam conditions (I'm in Y10 and I'm still not great at it. It's a sign!). Ag? Well, I failed in the fact that I thought it was AI, not Oestrus Sync, so that's where I lost most of my marks. My fault, my bad, so there's no one to blame but me for that. Jap I owned, so no problems there, just some particles i mixed up (i for got the 'mu' in the watashi kanji). I did well, I'd say, but not good. Not to my likely. I know how people say, "It's an okay mark," or "I got worse than you," is meant to make me feel better, but nowadays it doesn't. I have a bar I set for myself, and whenever I fall short, I know I could have done better and no amount of comforting is going to make me think that it wasn't my fault for doing not so well in exams.
Okay, enough depressment. Just quickly overviewing this week...Cheap Thrills was very good, even though it was just one guy. If anything, it increased the power of the whole act (well, hello! || I know, I know). Go AB and Lucy H. Science has been covering electricity, motors, etc. It's fun and stuff, I just need to concentrate when I'm learning the hardER stuff. We've started waves, and tuning forks are fun to put into water when struck: just don't touch the glass. We made the airpot intercom sound with the C chord and a higher C. PE was 4-way soccer. Our team lost the most seeing as how half of the team weren't bothering to play. We didn't have anyone pro on our team either. Jap...need to practice seeing as how at the rate we are going, I haven't learnt too much from U11. IST is the same, more Flash work, more stupid theory to do. I hate it. Geo and His are the usual. Skills sheets, historical videos, same old same old. Assignments due soon, I better get cracking on those. OMG LIGHT TRIGGER SMH S.STORY! Has anyone done that? I've completely forgotten! D:
Obviously I'm swamped with work now, Sunday night, Unseen Companion to finish and do table on...sigh. That's all for now folks.
