Cyber Plagues & Growing Down

If I were a smarter person not so self-obsessed about my own priorities on the computer, then I wouldn't be in the crap I'm in now. For a while now, our computer's antivirus system kept saying: 'Your computer's antivirus system is out of date: please update it!!!' and I would think, 'Yeah, I'll do it later' or 'My sisters will do it. They're the older ones.' Well, it looks like my laziness has come back to bite me in ass, hard.

Our computer is slowing down, the internet light is always blinking when no programs are running, meaning something's going on without us doing it, and ads pop up even if we aren't using the computer. To top it all off, the computer has been saying for the past couple of months, 'Your computer may be at risk'.

With these things in mind, I can only guess that we have a virus (maybe multiple) on the computer and I haven't been bothered to fix it. Now the internet is too slow and I'm still not bothered enough to fix it. All I can do is hope and pray that my prediction is wrong and that our internet has just been capped or the company we are with is just swamped with people using its services, thus slowing everyone down.

On a lighter note, I went to Lollipop's Playland on Sunday! Yaaay! Seriously though, I really did go there. My nephew had his birthday party there, and me being one of his bestest friends, my sisters and I were invited along to tag along. After wandering around the large complex of industrial buildings for about ten minutes in the summer heat, we finally found the air-conditioned playground. Mainly, we adults just sat around, watching the kids play in the maze-of-a-play-area, ordering some curly fries and drinks and eating our makeshift lunch.

After a while though, we saw the birthday celebrant's little brother want to go down the steep green slippery dip. All the other kids were going, but the toddler was too scared to go down it. In a rush of us taking off our footwear and climbing up to where the slide was, me and my 20+ y.o. sisters went down the slide (along with Ate Mica), one of them going with the little toddler. As juvenile as it sounded, it was very exhilirating and I felt myself want to say the line that parents will indefinitely hear from their children: "Let's go again!!" But we didn't.

Instead, we soon after made our way to the ball pit where the little boy decided to go next. The main aim was to throw the balls up into a sluice at the top that would lead the balls back down to the ground. After a minute of doing this, we found it too hard and decided to go for another kind activity: BALL WAAAAR!!!! In a flurry motion, the three of us were throwing the coloured balls at each other. But within seconds, my sisters had formed an aliegance and I was forced to fight the both! But in a sudden fit of laughter, I keeled over, unable to control my hysterical laughing and feebly tried to pelt balls back at them.

Once we were 'all tired out', the three of us exited the ball pit, leaving my nephew to continue playing in the pit, and we put our shoes back and watched for the remainder of the time. After singing happy birthday to the celebrant and sliced some cake, we soon departed home.

Just as a finishing note (since this blog is a way for me to preserve my memories), I would like to add this: my mum does Sight Training on the Nintendo DS when she can, and boy, does she get carried away! Whenever she got a few things wrong, my mum would break out in a fit of Tourette's Syndrome (not that she had it that is).
